European Infrastructure Strategic Outlook, March 2017

In 2017, we expect that private investors will continue to exhibit strong interest in European unlisted infrastructure equity and debt, as the investment pipeline is solid, and Europe remains supportive for infrastructure operations, given its predictable and mature institutional and legal framework on a global scale.

The 2017 macroeconomic outlook for Europe remains one of moderate but steady economic recovery. Eurozone bond yields are set to remain below their long-term historical average for longer underpinning infrastructure investment fundamentals, while inflation is forecast to pick-up gradually. These factors could prove beneficial for inflation-linked infrastructure assets.
